During his four days in Pithoragarh, a senior government official reviewed government programs.

Pithoragarh, 12 June: Secretary Personnel and Vigilance, Higher Education, Information Technology, Council of Ministers, and Information Shailesh Bagauli, who arrived on a four-day district tour, reviewed various development schemes with the concerned officials at Vikas Bhavan Auditorium on Monday, and provided necessary guidelines.

Secretary Bagauli voiced his displeasure with the low number of student applications during a review of the "Apano School Apnu Praman" program and instructed the program's nodal officer, the Additional District Magistrate, to conduct regular reviews of the program with the Deputy District Magistrates and Education Department staff.

A assessment of the "e-office" project revealed that the secretary had mandated that all official correspondence between the District Magistrate's and the Chief Development Officer's offices and the government be conducted exclusively through the e-office.

The Secretary, who was touring the district's rural districts as part of an inspection of the program known as "Jal Jeevan Mission," claimed that residents had complained that their taps were dry despite the fact that the work in those areas had been finished.

Bagauli ordered the District Magistrate to send an administrative survey team to the villages and areas where Jal Jeevan Mission projects have been completed to determine how many people live there, how many people are receiving drinking water, and how much water each person is receiving.

The District Service Planning Officer was instructed by the Secretary after a review of the 'Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana' to provide training in the various trades requested by the children, and to also collect data on the children's subsequent employment in these fields.

After reviewing the agricultural and horticultural projects, the Secretary gave orders to the officials of the Department of Horticulture, the Department of Agriculture, the Reap Project, and the Department of Animal Husbandry to strive toward complete product independence for the district.  Information on what is being manufactured in the area, in what quantities, and to which locations would be useful. How much of this category of goods is coming into the region from elsewhere, and why? After collecting this information, manufacturing may be ramped up to meet consumer needs.

The Secretary asked the relevant authorities at the assessment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to explain the delays in building homes that had previously been authorized.
The Secretary has asked the District Magistrate and the Chief Development Officer to notify the government of any difficulties encountered in carrying out the plans.
Officers from several different departments, as well as the District Magistrate Reena Joshi, the Chief Development Officer Varun Chaudhary, the Additional District Magistrate Fincharam Chauhan, the Deputy District Magistrate Anil Shukla, the District Development Officer Rama Goswami, and the District Special Task Officer Niranjan Prasad were also present.
